ARCHITECT ANSWERS: MEET THE ARCHITECTS, Interview with our team
GOSS Outdoor continue to work on architectural developments to improve outdoor living spaces. There is great teamwork behind the architectural projects that we have successfully completed. While our hardworking team continue to sign on amazing projects in our head office in Manchester, the installation team set out for installation beyond imagination all around the UK. Now, working with young professionals our team getting bigger. We would like to introduce our architects; Meet the new members of our team, who have great work in the success of our company lately.
Filipa Lopes
Since Filipa has started to work with GOSS Outdoor in February 2020, she took part in projects by preparing quotes, 3D designs for clients, and also site surveys. Filipa told us "I can say clearly, working under GOSS brand gave me more advantages of knowing more about outdoor solutions. I have experienced the outdoor recreation projects that this company has been working on, from the design stage to the installation."
In architectural projects that GOSS Outdoor undertake teamwork is indispensable, the works are carried out professionally by management and this continued without any difficulties. Filipa told us that, “teamwork can be defined in 3 words; these are respect, communication and fairness for me and I was lucky to be working with a team that provided them."
Olivia Breasley
When asked about her experiences Olivia told us that, “I have been working at GOSS Outdoor since the 6th of July as a project associate intern responsible for architectural projects. I take part in showroom visits for the product that we sell, and also site surveys, creating 3D designs as well as helping with the administration side of the company”.
During her internship at GOSS Outdoor, Olivia said she learnt how to manage time more effectively and the importance of having a record of notes and jobs which need completing so that no work is forgotten about. She also learnt that each project can bring its own challenges as well as creating new opportunities meeting clients and interpreting their ideas into a design whilst working within the company.
Olivia, "My internship at GOSS Outdoor allowed me to improve my architectural skills and learn about work business processes. I worked in great harmony with senior architects and my other intern teammates."
Gharsanai Pacha
Gharsanai undertook an internship with GOSS Outdoor, under the job title of “Intern-Project Associate”. When she started her internship at the company she helped in every part of work in terms of architecture from the beginning to the end of the projects. Her main responsibilities were to carry out site surveys and meet new clients, assessing their needs to provide high-quality services as well as working on different projects under the guidance of senior architects and engineers.
Gharsanai, “I learned how to apply the theory to real life, and how to work in the built environment and construction industry. Working at GOSS Outdoor gave me the confidence to finally get my first step into my career. This was my first interaction with working in the built environment.” She added, “I think it is important to have organised teamwork in a busy working environment. As I was improving my skills in architecture by getting information from experienced architects, I saw how well I worked within a team. Therefore teamwork allows us to produce high-quality work while sharing responsibilities and tasks between co-workers.”
Humayun Rashid
During Humayun’s internship, he assisted GOSS Outdoor`s business activities such as carrying out site surveys, producing quotations, creating 3D designs for clients, answering phone calls and helping out with other employees in the business.
Humayun, when asked about his experience in the internship said that he had learnt a lot from it. He added that, “during the 3 month period of my internship, I have learnt about business and how it’s operated, the products we sell, how to answer phone calls professionally and send professional emails, the use of CRM for marketing, producing quotations for clients, carrying out site surveys professionally and many more.”
Humayun, “For me, teamwork means working together to achieve excellence. While I learned a lot from the experienced architects and company directors that I assisted, I also improved my skills being a part of the team.”
He also added, “During my internship, I developed numerous hard skills about architecture including communication with clients and organising architectural projects. The internship has also facilitated my personal development; I have improved my ability to communicate with people. I learned the importance of acting as "we" rather than individuality.”
