Fabric Choices:

Awning fabric must be UV-resistant to keep your patio from the hot summer days and must have a water-resistant canvas for better performance

Our Fabrics offer an original, resolutely contemporary architectural solution to efficient personal solar protection.

Waterproof Solar Protection

It combines weather protection and efficient thermal protection. It enables a good visual contact with the exterior.

Easy Upkeep

Simple washing with water containing Serge Ferrari Cleaner detergent restores the screen to its original aesthetic.

Sustainable Development

They are covered by a so-called “Fiche de Donnees Environnementales et Sanitaires” (FDES) [health and environmental safety data sheet] and are subjected to Life Cycle Analysis (LCA), conducted and monitored by independent outside bodies; these quality indicators have clearly demonstrated their eco-efficiency.

Discover Fabric Choices | Sattler Solution Dyed Acrylic Fabric:

High quality, long-lasting protection for your awning fabric. At Sattler, every single fiber is carefully covered with a protective coating. Our proprietary impregnation prevents the permeation by water, humidity and dirt, thus supporting the self-cleaning effect. Dirt pearls roll down the surface like water drops on leaves. This is the TEXgard Lotus effect.

UV Protection

Fabrics are tested according to the UV 801 Standard. This testing method does not only consider the fabric when new but also how the fabric behaves under different weather conditions. This means the fabrics are exposed to extreme conditions (e.g. extreme exposure to the sun and weather). This helps to determine if the fabric keeps its durability promise over the years. This is the only way to ensure that the fabric you choose will meet your demands.

Sattler`s premium awning marine fabrics are made from 100% solution-dyed branded acrylic. This guarantees top-level functionality and outstanding UV protection. Colours resist fading, and fabric will not break down even after years of exposure to the sun.

The fabric is guaranteed for a period of five years during which it covers any abnormal deterioration of the physical properties and colour, given a normal exposure to weather. The warranty includes the replacement of the fabric required to replace the awning, excluding other expenses such as postage, sewing and/or assembly.

ACRILLA® uses as well TEFLON® (a registered mark by DuPont) in the finishing process. TEFLON® protects the fabric creating a barrier which reinforces the water repellence and delays the dirt adherence. Besides, it does not reduce the air permeability and it is not perceptible to sight, smell and touch.

Comfort and energy saving are measured according to the test defined in the EN 13363 norm, from which the solar factor (gtot) can be calculated. According to this test, the solar factor is always calculated in combination with a normalised glass. And expresses the amount of solar radiation the fabric glass set allows to go through it. The efficiency of the fabric alone is calculated by comparing the solar factor of the fabric glass set with that of the glass alone. This value is known as the shading coefficient.

Winter maintenance of your awnings:

As you all know, winter can bring very strong and difficult weather conditions in the UK such as flood and storms. Once winter arrives, there are a few more things you can do to maintain the condition of your shadings. To keeping your awning safe, do not operate the system. the awning must be kept retracted.

-If water freezes and forms ice in these systems, the ice will create pockets which will expand and damage the system. Following the above steps will reduce the risk of damage occurring.

- If you notice any problems with your system, contact the team at your earliest opportunity and we will ensure that these issues are resolved as soon as possible.
