Here comes the sun! Now is the time to start thinking about ways to get your garden ready for spring. Having an awning and pergola means you can enjoy your outdoor space all day long and all year round. With the arrival of the spring, we will have more sunshine but If it starts to rain, all you have to do is close the roof and continue to relax.

There are a few things to do in your garden to enjoy it better! Follow our tips to make your spring garden.

Upgrade your decking area

Turn your decking area into a sitting room! Create a much-needed extra living space by investing in a pergola or an awning.

The awnings get used for all sorts of design and practicality - terrace shade, conservatory aesthetics, expansion of space, smoking areas – limitless opportunities. Awnings are provided for every situation. Whether residential or commercial the same dedication and commitment to outdoor cover that works for a given application is paramount.

Another stylish way to extend your outdoor room is pergolas which provide in two types at GOSS Outdoor. Clean your patio cover

Regularly cleaning your patio cover throughout the year keeps it safe. The beginning of the spring is the perfect time for giving it a clean. Be sure to include the following tasks on your to-do list:

  • Remove dirt and leaves from your patio cover.

  • Sweep your patio before using cleaning product on the tiles or deck. And always read the instructions carefully. Check out cleaning product here which are good for a patio cover.

Generally, it makes sense to clean the membrane from the top to the bottom. Additionally, it is important that the cleaning procedure is not carried out under direct exposure to solar radiation. Otherwise, the cleaning agent might dry off leaving stains on the surface of the membrane.

The concentration of the cleaning agent differs depending on the degree of soiling (read the instructions for use of the cleaning agent) and shall be applied to the membrane accordingly. If you are still unsure, please do not hesitate to get into contact with us.

Use a sponge or a soft brush to apply the cleaning agent. Before using the brush, make sure that the bristles are not too hard and do not damage mechanically the surface of the membrane. Shall this occur, please use a softer brush or a sponge.

Let the cleaning agent act for 5-10 minutes (read the instructions for use of the cleaning agent).

After this time, remove the cleaning agent and the loose dirt with cold or lukewarm water.

In case the dirt has not fully been removed, repeat the procedure a second time. We highly recommend that every 3-6 months your local window cleaner should wash the membrane with the same method they use to clean standard windows. This will stop any debris collecting on the system and reduce the risk of unexpected problems. Before carrying out the above procedure please also read the below guidelines which are specific to your system
