HEALTH & SAFETY
At GOSS Outdoor, our long-term success depends upon working to ensure the safety of our workers, visitors to our operations, and the public. We believe that a safe and healthy workplace is a fundamental right of every person and also a business imperative. Our Workplace Rights Policy requires that we take responsibility for maintaining a productive workplace in every part of our Company by doing what we can to minimise the risk of accidents, injury and exposure to health hazards for all of our associates and contractors. In addition, we’re working with our bottling partners to help to ensure health and safety risks are minimised for their employees and contract workers.
As a family owned business, Health and Safety is driven by a genuine care for our people and we always strive to improve the safety of our staff. We work alongside independent safety consultants and the HSE to implement best practice. Our commitment to Health and Safety is also demonstrated in our safety record along with “Improving Route-to-Market Safety” policy.
Our Health and Safety strategy is based on the following:
Health and Safety Advice from consultants
Assessing competence of employees and subcontractors
Risk Assessments for all working areas and third party interface
Delivering Health and Safety information to all areas of the business
The supply and correct use of Personnel Protective Equipment
CSCS cards for all site staff
We have an excellent reputation and track record for Health and Safety and our clients expect use to comply with standards, but we will always push to exceed the minimum requirement.
